Food Additives

They lie in wait, more than happy to do a number on your insides when you least expect. Cows grazing

My husband and I were recently tested for mercury and we discovered both of us had high levels. In fact mine were off the charts. The risks from mercury poisoning are scary: it's a silent killer (that doctors often miss) attacking the brain, heart, immune and nervous systems, decreases sexual performance, libido and can create anxiety and roller coaster emotions (and that's a short list of symptoms!).

I wanted a gentle way to cleanse these heavy metals out of our bodies, so we decided to work with a naturopathic doctor. Jon Bon Jovi's restaurant doesn't charge for meals

Do you remember the 1980s? Communism collapsed and disco got a "shot through the heart." Hideous hairdos were as common back then as iPhones are today. It was indeed a strange time when temperatures rose to 7800° Fahrenheit and everything was Slippery When Wet. And it seems, everyone, especially you, "gave love a bad name."

But for '80s pretty boy pop-glam-metal-rocker, Jon Bon Jovi, things have changed. While he's still making great music, he's updated his image to that of an eco-friendly and conscientious philanthropist. He's using considerably less hairspray, which is a good thing for the environment; and, he's giving away free meals at his new restaurant. That is, unless you feel like paying for your food.

You'd probably buy this magical food in every form possible and eat it everyday, no matter what the cost. That's exactly why açai has become so popular, but this so called "superfruit" might not be so super after all.

wrinkled old woman, beautiful

Would you give up your ability to truly understand other people for a wrinkle-free face?

Many women are saying “yes” to this question, and choosing to inject Botox into their faces... nevermind the fact that it impairs the ability to process emotion.

Doi Chaang Coffee Company, a business partnership between villagers in Thailand and a family business in Canada, may be revolutionizing the state of capitalism. All too often a cold-blooded game of dog-eat-dog based on a sheer profit, capitalism is getting a makeover from Doi Chaang, which operates like none other. The company’s model has given a small village in Thailand the opportunity to grow a sustainable business for its community, all while producing a first-rate organic coffee. In fact, Doi Chaang Coffee is the only Thai-grown certified organic, Fair Trade coffee in the world. But it’s much more than that.
